A great amount of fittings exist. They are utilized to alter the size and shape of a section of the plumbing system, as well as to connect pipes to various heating, cooling, measuring or other devices. These connection elements are presented in a large amount of types. The first one is known as barb fittings. Such elements are used to attach link bending pipes to their rigid counterparts. The second type is known as elbow fittings. These utilities link two straight elements and allow the direction of a pipe to be changed. There's another type known as cap fittings. They close the end of a tube segment to prevent outflow of a substance. There are nipples and couplings, that connect other fittings to each other. Union fittings resemble them in function, however they provide possibilities for easy access and repair. Reducer segments are needed if the size of the tube changes from one end to another. T-sections and Y-sections are needed to unite or divide the flow of liquid in the system.
